Read the following comprehension carefully and answer the questions followed by
Mita got a table clock on her birthday. Mita’s uncle gave it to her because she can not wake up in time on school days. Now Mita has a clock but she does not know how to tell the time. Next day she takes her clock to the class. She says to her teacher Saira Banu, “Teacher, last month you taught us the names of months and number of days. I have a clock and I can’t tell the time. Could you please teach us how to tell the time?”
Saira Banu becomes happy. She says, “Of course! I’ll be happy to teach you to tell the time. First, we’ll know only about the hours. Look at the clock. It has two hands. The short one is the hour hand and the long hand is the minute hand”. She shows the clock to the students and says, “When the long hand is on 12, it means an hour and the short hand at different numbers means different hours. From 12 midnight to 12 noon, we say A.M. From 12 noon to 12 midnight we say P.M.”
